Woman to serve jail time in gun theft

HARTINGTON - A Bloomfield woman is serving 30 days in jail related to a gun theft from a Magnet residence.

HARTINGTON - A Bloomfield woman is serving 30 days in jail related to a gun theft from a Magnet residence.

A felony burglary charge was dismissed against Taylor Janis, 31, in Cedar County Court last week and she was sentenced to jail on misdemeanor theft.

According to court documents, the theft occurred in September from the Magnet residence. A day after the gun was stolen, it was returned back to the residence and the owner reportedly found it laying on the porch.
