Local youth earn honors for “1000 Books Before Kindergarten”

HARTINGTON — Grace Rolfes, daughter of Grant and Lisa Rolfes, received a medal, a certificate of completion, a final prize and a free book from the library for reading “1000 Books before Kindergarten.” Grace is 3 years old and will attend Pre-School at Hartington-Newcastle School the fall of 2024. Grace likes coming to the library to play with the Legos. Her favorite books are about animals and Ninja Turtles, with her favorite characters being Raphael and Spiderman.
