Chamber of Commerce elects new officers for 2024

HARTINGTON – The Hartington Chamber of Commerce elected new officers and board members and announced dates for some annual community events during its annual Chamber banquet Sunday night.

HARTINGTON — The Hartington Chamber of Commerce elected new officers and board members and announced dates for some annual community events during its annual Chamber banquet Sunday night.

Ray Sukovaty of Pearson Motor Company was elected president to replace Karen Flamig, who chose not to seek another term in office. Dani de Waal was elected vice president. She replaces Sukovaty. Lisa Dendinger was elected as secretary. She replaces Lisa Kruse, who chose not to seek another term. Bryce Lammers was re-elected as treasurer.

New members elected to the Board of Directors are: Christine Archer, Roy Carl and Jess Dickens. They join returning board members Lauren Kathol, Marlys Hines, Lisa Kruse and Meika Kramer.

Flamig will serve one more year on the board in her new role as past president.

The new student representatives are Lauren Bernecker from Cedar Catholic High School and Cole Heimes from Hartington-Newcastle Public Schools.

They join existing student representatives Elizabeth Rokusek, Cedar Catholic High School, and Dayton Sudbeck, Hartington-Newcastle Public Schools.
