Digging out
Sandra Cross | Laurel Advocate

Trevor Pederson (above) works to clear snow from the sidewalk, while Logan Hansen is almost obscured by the snow bank as he works to clear off his driveway. An arctic blast that kept the temperatures below zero, kept many residents indoors the past several days, but the sound of snowblowers, tractors, skid loaders and people scooping snow could be heard around town on Sunday as residents started to dig out from the most recent snow storm. Various reports show anywhere from nine to 14 inches of snow here last week. It was difficult to know exactly how much snow Laurel residents received as high winds kept the snow blowing around as well as making visibility very difficult.
