PENDER – The Randolph boys cross country team raced their way into eighth place as a team and each runner fared well individually, too, at the Pender Invitational.

In the 3.1 mile varsity race, Justin Guenther medaled with a 14th place finish and a time of 19:45. Matt Schultz ran 20:48 for 29th place; Hunter McGee ran 22:39 for 39th place; Brayden Shearer ran 23:16 for 44th place; Jake Harder ran 26:03 for 49th place.

In the 1.25-mile junior high race, Jaylen Junck ran 7:58 for eighth place.

The next meet is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21 at Crofton.
