A helping hand

A helping hand
Sandra Cross | Laurel Advocate

Friends and neighbors put their own work on hold Oct. 6 to help bring in Mark Ebmeier’s soybean crop after a health issue sidelined him for several months. Members of Immanuel Lutheran Church and friends of the Ebmeier family donated their time and equipment, showing how a small community comes together when someone needs a helping hand. Bryan Pippitt drives a tractor-pulled grain cart that unloads soybeans into a grain trailer (top), while combines driven by Greg Pippitt and others, help bring in the crop (middle and bottom). Volunteers completed the soybean harvest that day. The corn harvest will take place later in the season.
