The Laurel Village Board says “Let there be lights”

June 1, 1948, brought news of a shake up at the light plant. The Village Board held what was described as a rugged session at a meeting held the night before. R.B. Michels, who had been superintendent of the light plant for several years, turned in his resignation. Light plant employees Albert Hansen and Jess Novak also resigned. Village Marshal John Taylor handed in his badge as well.
