Idea becomes reality as Wildcats will open season in Kickoff Classic

HARTINGTON — Hartington-Newcastle head football coach Rusty Fuller was talking with some fellow coaches and members of the Nebraska Eight-Man Football Committee and the group wondered why they couldn’t propose a showcase day of eight-man football to open the season similar to what Grand Island hosts in basketball every winter.
