HARTINGTON — For the first time in over two decades, the man on the sidelines with the big head-set for Cedar Catholic will not be Chad Cattau. But even Chicken Little knows, the sky is not falling. James Kaiser, the former Trojan signal-caller, unveils his first Trojan football team and plenty of talent to keep the program moving forward. Twelve returning starters, seven on offense and five on defense highlight a team looking for a great season. Will Steffen, Easton Hochstein and Ryan Hoebelheinrich return as starters on both sides of the ball and here’s what Kaiser had to say about each player: Steffen: “He is a physical lineman who has exceptional quickness. He’s a very smart player who is like another coach on the field. He has started on defense since he was a freshman and he has the experience to be one of the best lineman in C2 this year.” Hochstein: “He is a very smart linebacker who is starting on defense for the third year. He is a very good tackler who attacks running lanes. He had a good year running the football on offense and will be expected to do that again this year.”
