HARTINGTON — Bob Voboril has been named assistant county extension agent for Cedar County. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Agriculture.

HARTINGTON — Two more Cedar County men left Monday for Omaha where they will be inducted into the armed services. They are Norman J. Nordhues and Linus Lange.

HARTINGTON — Four Cedar County service men recently completed eight weeks of basic training at Army camps.

They are Pvt. Arthur Wieseler, Pvt. Duane Gubbels finished at the 2nd Armored Division at Fort Hood in Texas. Pvt. Jerome Uhing finished basic at Ft. Leonard in Missouri. Pvt. Donavan Sudbeck completed basic at Ft. Carson in Colorado.

HARTINGTON — The estimated cost of operating the city government of Hartington during the fiscal year ending May 1, 1959 has been set at $55,700. The estimated cost for the past fiscal year was set at $54,700.

HARTINGTON — Contribution in the March of Dimes in Cedar County during the January campaign totaled $4,387.79.
