Cedar-Knox Public Power District — Cedar-Knox Public Power District sponsored one of the District’s high school students, Kyptin Collier of Hartington, to attend the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association Youth Tour in Washington, D.C. This year about 2,100 youth delegates and chaperones from 44 states were in attendance. Youth Tour provides high school students with a once-in-a-lifetime weeklong experience that offers in-depth exposure into the electric industry while exploring our nation’s capital and some of its most iconic landmarks, as well as meeting with U.S. Senators. Collier attended the Nebraska Rural Electric Association Youth Energy Leadership Camp in Cozad in 2025. He was then eligible to apply for sponsorship through CKPPD’s Youth Tour Sponsorship Program for the 2026 NRECA Washington D.C. Youth Tour. Courtesy photo | for the Cedar County News
