Floats for Fischers

Last month the Fischer family of Fordyee lost their home and belongings in a fire. Classmates, friends and neighbors joined together on Thursday to bring the idea of M.J. Thoene to life. “He had this idea one morning and we rolled with it,” Thoene’s mom said. Floats for Fischers was a fundraiser that took place on Fordyee Main Street that offered rootbeer floats, cookies and lemonade with the proceeds going directly to the Fischer family.
