HARTINGTON —The Local Working Group (LWG) meeting will be hosted by Lewis & Clark Natural Resources District (LCNRD) and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) on July 10, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Hartington Hotel (202 N Broadway Ave, Hartington, NE). This meeting provides an opportunity for Knox, Cedar and Dixon County producers, stakeholders and partner organizations to participate in NRCS’s conservation planning effort. Through this event, we hope to gain input on the prioritization of local resource concerns and recommendations on how federal funding can be best directed through Farm Bill Programs.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about conservation programs and to provide input to modify the system to better suit local producers and resources. It also provides a chance for Natural Resources professionals to discuss updates and opportunities for future collaboration.
