BOW Introduction to Kayaking is June 9

LINCOLN — Women interested in kayaking are invited to attend an instructional workshop June 9 at Louisville State Recreation Area.

The Becoming an OutdoorsWoman Introduction to Kayaking workshop is for women over 18 years of age who are new to kayaking.

Certified instructors will teach the basics of kayaking, including safety, equipment, water entry/exit and paddling strokes.

All equipment will be provided, but participants may bring their own equipment.

Participants can choose between three two-hour workshops, starting at 10 a.m., 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The cost is $15. Registration is required and can be done by visiting the calendar entry at Calendar. OutdoorNebraska.gov.

A Nebraska Vehicle Park Entry Permit is required.
