Building Blocks held a color run fundraiser last week

Courtesy Photos for the Laurel Advocate Building Blocks held a color run fundraiser last week. As soon as the race began, the rain stopped and the fun began. (top) Kelsey and her sons, Jackson and Connor Rasmussen, stop for a moment to check out their many colors. (above) Emily Erwin takes time at the end of the run for a refreshing drink. (right) Patty Sherman showers Abel Lund with lots of colors. Those participating enjoyed an amazing morning filled with fun, laughter and lots of color. Organizers said they would like to extend a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all the donors, families, Parent Committee members, staff, volunteers and community members who helped make this event possible. The support, generosity and hard work made the first fundraiser one to remember. Northeast Nebraska Community Action Partnership, the Laurel Volunteer Fire Department and the Laurel Police Department all partnered with Building Blocks to help provide car seats and safety checks during the event.
