Legion team to host part of L&C Tny. field

HARTINGTON — The Hartington Post 4 Senior American Legion baseball team will bring tournament action to Felber Park this weekend.

Post 4 will host one pool of the Yankton Lewis and Clark Tournament June 5-6, with six teams scheduled to play in Hartington before the tournament shifts to Yankton for the final day June 7.

Hartington will open the tournament June 5 against Dakota Valley, S.D., with first pitch set for 9:30 a.m.

Dakota Valley will then face Renner, S.D., at 11:45 a.m., followed by Renner against Parkston, S.D., at 2 p.m. Seward will take on Parkston at 4:15 p.m.

Friday’s action will wrap up with Post 4 facing Seward at 6:30 p.m.

Hartington will return to the field June 6 for another 9:30 a.m. start, this time against Parkston.

Parkston will then face Dakota Valley at 11:45 a.m., followed by Dakota Valley against Seward at 2 p.m. Renner will take on Seward at 4:15 p.m.

Pool play will conclude with Post 4 squaring off against Renner at 6:30 p.m.

The tournament will reconvene Sunday in Yankton.
