OMAHA - Vayda Lippert and Maximus McCray brought home travel bags that were just a bit heavier coming back from the Class C Nebraska Track and Field Championships May 22-23.
Lippert brought home a couple of medals while McCray earned one over the weekend at Burke Stadium in Omaha.
Lippert found her niche in the middle distances this season and found herself on the podium twice in her sophomore campaign.
She used a time of 2:19.73 to claim fourth in the 800-meter run then did four laps in 5:28.54 to place eighth in the1,600.
McCray jumped his way to a seventh-place finish in the triple jump, hop, stepping and jumping 43-1.5 to bring home some hardware in that event.
Ella Eickhoff was the only other Lady Wildcat competing in Omaha and cleared the bar at 8-06 to end up in 25th.
Will Feilmeier ran the 100 on the Burke Stadium track and ended up 14th with a time of 11.21.
Brayden Lammers soared 6-0 to place 13th in the high jump and Ty Opfer made it to Omaha but didn’t register a height in the pole vault.
