WYNOT - The Wynot Expos dropped a nine-inning contest in the South Central Baseball league to the Bluebirds out of Tabor, SD 8-3 in a game played in Wynot May 24.
The Bluebirds jumped out early when the first batter swatted a home run over the fence into right field, but the Expos answered in the bottom of the second frame.
Peyton Wieseler opened the Wynot half of the second with a walk then Carson Wieseler was promptly plunked by the Bluebird pitcher.
Devin Lammers stepped to the plate and smacked a 2-2 pitch over the left field wall to clear the bases and put the home team in front 3-1.
Unfortunately, the lead didn’t last as Tabor plated four runs in the top of the third then single runs in the fourth, sixth and eighth innings to post the finals score at 8-3.
Jesse Lundahl took the loss on the mound for the Expos in seven innings of work.
Wynot will host Menno Thursday night and take on Yankton for another SSL league contest on June 4.
