Cedar Catholic hosts Mid-State Conference Art Show

HARTINGTON — The 2026 Mid-State Conference Art Show was held in Wayne, April 6-10 and hosted by Cedar Catholic High School.

CCS students fared well against the many talented student artists from Mid-State Conference schools who participated.

At the conclusion of the week there was an activity/workshop with CCHS Art Club stu dents, Wayne High School art students as well as Ponca art student creating a project with wooden frames.

CCHS and Wayne Public School students visited local Wayne, sculpture artist Michael Fluent at his shop.

The students who visited sculptor Mr. Mike Fluent are Andrew Klug, Emerson Lammers, Athena Bottolfsen, Anna Bowers, Aeryn Blackburn, Shay Beatty, Mia Kuester, Alexis Adams and Carlee

For the second year in a row, Anna Bowers received the Community Choice Award for a pencil drawing of her great-grandma.
