LINCOLN — Nebraska’s Natural Resources Districts are asking all interested middle school students to sign up today for Adventure Camp about the Environment. If you are interested in having fun and learning about Nebraska’s natural resources and have completed sixth and seventh grade in the 2025-2026 school year, this camp is designed for you.
ACE, a four-day adventure camp, offers a unique learning experience focused on natural resources. Campers will engage in hands-on activities in aquatics, forestry, range and grassland management, wildlife, soils, and land use, guided by experts who are passionate about natural resources. They will also have the opportunity to explore nature through thrilling activities, including tubing, nature hikes, fishing, and campfires. This is an exceptional opportunity for youth to deepen their understanding of natural resources in a fun and interactive way.
ACE, hosted at Kamp Kaleo near Burwell, from June 21-24, is a collaborative effort between the Nebraska NRDs and the Nebraska Association of Resources Districts. The registration fee is $235 per camper, which covers meals, lodging, and activities. The Lewis and Clark NRD offers up to four $150 scholarships for camp attendance. This is a great opportunity for students interested in attending the ACE event.
The registration deadline is June 3, 2026. ACE is sponsored by the Nebraska NRDs and the NARD Foundation, which has partnered with several organizations to make the camp possible, including the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission, Nebraska Forest Service, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension, United States Department of Agriculture, and the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
