LAUREL — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 10th grade studentss brought biology to life recently during an exciting, hands-on learning day recently at Haskell Lab, Concord, NE.
Students rotated through interactive sessions exploring soils, native plants, and wildlife, gaining a deeper understanding of the natural systems around them. They then toured windbreaks and the arboretum before putting their knowledge into action by designing their own windbreaks. This “Biology in Action” experience gave students the opportunity to apply classroom concepts to real-world problem solving— building skills that go far beyond the textbook.
This collaborative event was hosted by Haskell Agricultural Laboratory in partnership with the University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources and Nebraska Forestry.
