COLERIDGE — The American Legion Post #114 and its Auxiliary Unit #114 held their monthly meeting March 2, 2026, at the Coleridge Community Building at 6:30 p.m.
The units jointly recited the Pledge of Allegiance and then separated and held their monthly meetings.
President V Gullicksen called the meeting to order. President V. Gullicksen gave a reading, and a prayer followed by a moment of silence in of memory our departed. Secretary B. Lage called the role with six members responding. She also read the minutes of the February meeting, and they were approved as presented.
Treasurer report was given. Motion was made by M. Storm and seconded by W. Durham to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion carried with all AYES.
Old Business: Discussion was held on Girls State, and members judged the essays from the LCC Middle School, and selected a winner of the essay, Andre Badley. We will send it into department.
New Business: Members completed the 2027 Unit dues and data and will get it sent into department. President V. Gullicksen will be attending the district meeting in Bancroft March 14, bringing with her kitchen items and motto “Some Heros Wear Aprons.” Anyone is welcome to attend the meeting. President Gullicksen asked the committee several questions to fill out our volunteer worksheets to turn in to department.
Wanda Durham has volunteered to be our chaplain for the unit. American Legion will be having a pancake feed April 12, 2026, at the Coleridge Community Building, from 8:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Members will be working on poppies for the crosses at our April meeting.
The next meeting will be held April 6, 2026. The meeting was adjourned.
