4-H public speaking contest is set for April 4

HARTINGTON — Area youth are encouraged to begin preparing speeches and public service announcements for the 2026 Cedar County 4-H Public Speaking Contest, which will be held Monday, April 6 at 6:30 p.m. at the Hartington Public Library.

Participants can find resources and contest information on the 4-H Contests webpage.

This year’s PSA and video theme is “Ready Today, Leading Tomorrow!”
