NORFOLK — Weather permitting, work will begin March 23 on Nebraska Highway 35 (N-35) between Hubbard and U.S. Highway 75 (US-75), according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Knife River Midwest, of Sioux City, Iowa, is the prime contractor. The improvements on this project consist of culvert work, the rehabilitation of two bridges, resurfacing the roadway and the addition of a right-turn lane at the N-35 and N-110 junction.
Trac will be maintained with a pilot vehicle and flaggers. Temporary trac signals will be in use for a portion of the project. Anticipated com pletion is late autumn of 2026.
Weather permitting, work will resume the week of March 30 on U.S. Highway 75 (US-75), north of Homer, from reference point 176.01 to reference point 181.46, according to the Nebraska Department of Transportation.
Constructors, Inc., of Lincoln, is the contractor. Work includes fly ash shoulder re-stabilization, asphalt surfacing, earth shoulder construction and seeding. Trac will be restricted to one lane using flaggers.
Anticipated completion is late spring 2026.
