LCC will send 21 FFA students to State

LAUREL — Laurel-Concord-Coleridge FFA was extremely busy throughout the month of February.

On Feb. 14, FFA went to Northeast Community College for District CDEs or Career Development Events. They qualified four teams for state: Floriculture, Ag Sales, Nursery Landscape and Welding.

There are 21 students heading to the state competition in Lincoln at the end of March.

The following Laurel-Concord-Coleridge students are FFA CDE State Qualifiers: 

Floriculture

District Runner Up, State Qualifiers Stella Kock, Faith Galvin, Leah Gould, Kennedy Hall 

Ag Sales

Third Place Team, State Qualifier Ande Hall, Kennedy Hall, Dayton Korth, Bryson Urwiler 

Nursery/Landscape

Grace Galvin, Mavis Jonas, Ruby Jonas, Ambriella Kock 

Welding

Fifth Place Team, State Qualifier Dayton Korth, James Recob, Dillon Munter, Ian Sohler.

Agronomy

8th place team: Jake Lipp 10th, Ande Hall 14th, Nolan Nordby 18th, Bryson Urwiler 

Food Science

7th place team: Faith Galvin 3rd, Leah Gould 18th, Tanya Miranda, Stella Kock.

Agriscience

12th place team: Nolan Nordby 17th, Owen Johnson, Alex Allison, Ruby Jonas.

Ag Mechanics

10th place team: James Recob 6th Machine and Equipment; Jake Lipp 2nd Structural Systems; Joe Tasler, Taylor Hansen 

BioTechnology

8th place team: Mavis Jonas 18th, Ruby Jonas 22nd, Owen Johnson, Tanya Miranda.
