Music filled the main gym at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School recently when the school’s music departments presented their annual Pops Concert to a well-attended audience. (Above, back row) Christian Staples and Devyn Staples; (middle row) Lisa Jackson and Luke Jackson; and (front row) Cloey Young perform one of the evening’s selections. The concert was directed by Patti Beyeler, band director, and Jenni Lundahl, choir director. Multiple musical selections were performed by the high school concert choir, middle school concert band, high school concert band, middle school choir, high school pep band, high school percussion ensemble, LCC show choir and the LCC Jazz Band. The audience also enjoyed a number of special performances. Paul Allison and Owen Johnson entertained the crowd with “The Rev!” featuring Allison’s “revving” trombone sounds while Johnson portrayed a motorcycle driver. The musical act proved to be a crowd favorite. Another highlight came when Kolten Settje (left) entered the gym portraying a hunter with his “gun” — his saxophone — making the sounds of ducks to introduce the song, “The Duck Call.” It was a night of music the audience will long remember.
