Metal art

CCHS High School art students and Hartington-Newcastle manufacturing/fabrication students recently participated in the Ken Iverson Sculpture Project Competition sponsored by NUCOR. Over this last year students worked together to complete this sculpture from the beginning design processes to completing and finalized details. They also met with a Nucor representative and Michael Fluent, an area sculpture artist. The sculpture is included in a group of other schools competing in this contest. The students involved in the project include Cris Kneifl, Ty Opfer, Aidan Collier, Lane Paulsen, Colton Campbell, Danielle Eickhoff and Anna Bowers.
