NORFOLK — The Hartington Newcastle Wildcat speech team won 8 of 10 events en route to its second straight GNAC conference title at Lutheran High Monday.
The Wildcats medaled 19 entries and scored 332 team points in the win. West Holt took home runner up honors, scoring 224 points.
“We really performed well,” Speech coach Kyle Stevens said. “Everyone has been working really hard in practice, and the coaches are proud of how each student has worked to prepare.”

“Our district will be extremely competitive,” Stevens said. “The team needs to keep working hard over the next week to make sure we are ready for a great day of Speech.”
