Learning the ropes

Learning the ropes
The League of Heroes Tiny Tots wrestling program got underway last week at the Msgr. Werner Annex, filling the gym with plenty of energy and excitement. The program, open to boys and girls ages preschool and kindergarten, has drawn nearly four dozen young participants eager to learn the basics of the sport. Under the direction of Eric Becker — and with assistance from several student helpers such as Ashlynn Dailey (above) — the youngsters are being introduced to fundamental wrestling techniques, proper warm-up exercises and mat awareness in a fun, age-appropriate setting. The program is designed to build coordination, confidence and a love for the sport at an early age. Rob Dump | Cedar County News
