Osmond ends Lady Cards’ season

WYNOT - The Randolph Lady Cardinals were bounced from the D2-5 Subdistrict in Wynot Feb. 16 by the Osmond Lady Tigers 49-40 to end the season with a 1-19 record.

The teams were deadlocked after the first eight minutes 9-9 before Osmond took a 23-18 lead into the halftime locker room.

Another even quarter in the third and a 15-11 advantage for the Lady Tigers in the fourth spelled the end of the season for the Lady Cards.

Abbey Backer poured in 21 points on the night while Kynlee Winkelbauer added seven, all from the charity stripe.

Delayne Thelen tossed in five, Lilly Kuchta had four and Braylee Kelley chipped in with three.

Backer made it a double-double with 11 rebounds, Kuchta yanked down nine.

Thelen swiped three steals.
