LCC FBLA recognizes National FBLA Week

LAURELL — This week, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge FBLA celebrated FBLA Week by hosting a member social at Dairy Queen and organizing a school-wide dress-up day where FBLA members wore business attire throughout the entire school day. These activities helped promote professionalism, team bonding, and awareness of FBLA within the school community.

In addition to leadership development, the chapter has been actively working on its Go Green and Feed Nebraska Ribbon Projects. Members recently completed a doorto- door canned food drive throughout the community and hosted a hats and gloves drive in partnership with Ace Hardware to support students and families in need. FBLA members also plan to clean up the school parking lot this week as part of their environmental service efforts.

Looking ahead, LCC FBLA members plan to attend the State Leadership Conference in April in Kearney. At the conference, students will compete in a variety of competitive events, attend keynote speaker sessions, and participate in leadership workshops. The conference also includes a social dinner, giving students the opportunity to network with peers from across the state while building confidence in a professional setting.

Future Business Leaders of America (Future Business Leaders of America), or FBLA, is a national student organization that helps prepare high school students for careers in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship through hands-on experiences, competitions, and community involvement. At Laurel-Concord- Coleridge School, FBLA gives students opportunities to build real-world skills such as communication, teamwork, financial literacy, and professionalism while exploring career pathways.

Beyond competition, FBLA emphasizes community service, personal growth, and career preparation. Through projects like these, students gain hands-on leadership experience while learning the importance of giving back to their community.

FBLA at Laurel-Concord-Coleridge School is proud to help students grow into confident leaders while preparing them for success beyond high school.
