Cedar takes third in Team Sweepstakes

CROFTON — Cedar Catholic took third place in the team sweepstakes Saturday at the Crofton Speech meet.

Students who placed include, Landon Rutar, Champion, Humorous; Ava Stewart — Champion, Informative; Sophia Kleinschmit, Runner-Up, Persuasive; Donnie Schulte, 3rd Extemporaneous; Landon Rutar and Langston Christensen, 3rd, Duet; Sophia Kleinschmit, Kendra Schmit, Calley Stewart, Landry Heimes, Adelyn Reifenrath, 3rd, OID; Isabel Rolfes, 4th, Persuasive; Langston Christensen, 4th, Serious; Breah Steffen, 5th Persuasive; Adelyn Reifenrath, 5th, Entertainment; and Kyson Lammers, 7th Entertainment.

“I am insanely proud of how hard all of our team members are working this year to create the best possible presentations they can,” said coach Erin Pfeifer. “They are using their God-given talents and drive to the best of their abilities, and the results are showing this. With the growth we’ve seen in the team from six members in 2024 to 19 in 2026, I have no doubt that our time of competitive edge is coming. With students like this, I am excited to see where the rest of the season takes us.“
