BANCROFT — The Cedar Catholic Lady Trojans saw their season come to an end Feb. 19 with a 55-47 loss to Bancroft-Rosalie in the finals of the D1-4 Subdistrict Tournament.
Cedar Catholic advanced to the championship game with a 60-41 semifinal win over Lyons-Decatur Northeast on Feb. 17.
In the title matchup, the Lady Trojans led 14-11 after the first quarter. Bancroft-Rosalie answered in the second period, tying the game at 2121 by halftime.
Cedar regained the edge in the third quarter and carried a narrow 35-34 lead into the final period. The Lady Panthers closed strong, outscoring Cedar 21-12 in the fourth to secure the win.
Addison Walter and Anisten Wortmann led the Lady Trojans with 15 and 13 points, respectively. Camryn Loecker added eight points and Brynn Bernecker finished with six.
Walter recorded a double-double with 12 rebounds, while Savannah Pick pulled down seven boards. Pick also dished out four assists, and Loecker added two steals.
In the semifinal round, Cedar Catholic built a 33-19 halftime lead and extended the advantage to 20 points by the end of the third quarter on the way to a 60-41 victory.
Four Lady Trojans scored in double figures in the balanced effort. Pick led the way with 12 points, while Loecker and Walter each added 11 and Wortmann contributed 10. Wortmann grabbed eight rebounds and Walter finished with five.
Cedar Catholic closed the 2025-26 season with a 12-13 record.
