HARTINGTON - Part of a wall board and some insulation in the airport administration building southeast of town were destroyed by fire Friday afternoon about 4:15 p.m.

The fire started in the furnace room and burned through the wallboard into the insulation. Hartington firemen extinguished the blaze and smouldering insulation in about 30 minutes.

John Feilmeier, Jr., told Fire Chief Lester Samelson he used a heat lamp to thaw the water pipes out in the building. Samelson said the heat from the lamp could have caused the fire. Damage to the building was slight, the fire chief said.
