RANDOLPH - The Randolph Lady Cardinal basketball team dropped a consolation game Feb. 2 to Osmond in the Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament to fall to 1-16 on the season.
The Lady Tigers turned away the Lady Cards 46-29.
Both teams accounted for just eight points in the opening eight minutes and Osmond took a 15-10 lead into the intermission.
The teams combined for 37 points in the third but unfortunately, the Lady Tigers scored 22 of the 37 to take a 37-25 lead into the final stanza.
Osmond closed out the game with a 9-4 advantage in the final frame to post the 46-29 win.
Abbigail Backer and Lilly Kuchta combined for 27 of the Lady Redbirds’ 29 points. Backer scored 14 and Kuchta added 13.
Aniston Schmidt accounted for the other two points with a couple of free throws.
Kuchta grabbed seven rebounds in the game, Braylee Kelley gathered in five missed shots.
Backer and Kuchta each handed out three assists and Kuchta swiped a couple of steals.
Randolph will close out the regular season with a game at Elgin Public/Pope John on Feb. 12 before hosting Stuart on Feb. 13.
