PLAINVIEW — The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys wrestling squad headed west to Plainview on Jan. 31 for the Plainview Invitational.
Cedar Catholic brought home the big trophy from the tournament with 197 points with Plainview wrestling to second as a team with 182.5.
The Bears managed 36 points on the day which put them in 12th.
Jake Lipp was the top LCC finisher, placing third at 190.
Owen Johnson at 106 and Alex Allison at 165 both finished fourth to add to the LCC point total for the day.
Earlier in the week LCC traveled to Randolph for a dual with the Cardinals and was defeated 48-24.
Lipp won his match at 190 with a pin over Esai Warman. Owen Johnson, Paul Allison and James Recob received forfeits to get to the 24-point score.
The Bears will head to Leigh Feb. 6 for the Clarkson/Leigh Invitational.
