RANDOLPH — Records continue to be broken at Husker Lanes in Randolph.
Mike Strathman bowled a 300 at the Husker Lanes Jan. 21 during mixed league. He now holds the record as the first ever perfect game bowled at Husker Lanes.
“It was all fun when I hit 300. When the last ball went down the alley everyone was yipping and yelling,” he said.
Family members and friends were on hand to help Mike celebrate.
His wife Traci was bowling with him on the team and his mom and dad, Myron and Logene Strathman, were at the bowling alley. His brother Mitchell was on the team Mike was bowling against.
“Everything worked. I was throwing the ball and everything was working for me,” Strathman said. “I bowled a 737 series the same night.”
By bowling a 737 series Mike now has the second highest series ever bowled at Husker Lanes.
His brother Mark has the high series record with a 757 that was set in 1999.
Breaking records in bowling is nothing new for the Strathman family.
His brother Mark set the standard at Husker Lanes Feb 24, 2015 when he bowled a 289, breaking the record that was held by two men.
Mark’s record of a 289 didn’t last long as it was broken one week later on March 3 by Wyatt McGhee during league night.
