HARTINGTON - Selected to the Cedar county all-tournament team Friday night were Earl Leiting and Dennis Gubbels of St. Frances, Butch Van Auker and Randy Beltz of Randolph High, Darrell Hinrichs and Jim Kurtzhals of Coleridge, Dave Eickhoff and Roger Miller of Hartington High, Ron Rolfes of Wynot, and Dick Goeden of Cedar Catholic.

HARTINGTON - St. Frances Bluejays captured the Cedar County basketball championship Friday by downing crosstown rival Randolph High 76-67, and Hartington took consolation honors after squeaking past Coleridge 58-57.

HARTINGTON - Ritch Miller, owner-manager of GEM Enterprises, Inc., of Hartington, announced last week, that Dick Steffen has joined his staff as sales manager.
Steffen, a native Cedar Countian, is a 1968 graduate of Cedar Catholic High School. He then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where he earned his degree in Business Administration.
Following his graduation, he was named the Credit Manager for Grants Department Store in Illinois, a position he held until he returned to Lincoln after he accepted a position with a Lincoln insurance firm.
For the past two years, Steffen has been selling and programming computers for the Burroughs Corp. in Lincoln.
Since joining the staff at GEM Enterprises, Mr. Steffen attended sales and orientation classes at Columbus.
Dick and his wife, Joan, have moved to Hartington and are residing in the former John Neu home.
They are the parents of two sons, Chris, 1½, and Kyle, 5 months. Dick’s parents are Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Steffen of Fordyce and Joan is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hugo Kathol of Hartington.

HARTINGTON - Creighton High School will visit H.H.S. Thursday for a dual meet that will be the last of the year for Hartington.
The Wildcats will try to improve their three win, seven loss record after their observance of “Parents Night” in which the parents of the wrestlers will be honored.
Also, it will be the last time that senior Gary Wohlman will wrestle on the home mats. He will attempt to better his 20-1 record.
Against Norfolk Catholic Monday evening only two Wildcat wrestlers were successful. Grant and Gary Wohlman each won by decision.
