HARTINGTON - A. F. Herfkens, one of the enterprising young farmers near Wynot, has returned from Kansas City, Mo., where he completed his usual course of training as an auctioneer in the American Auction College, the third from the head of his class of 30.

HARTINGTON — Old age assistance will be furnished to residents of Cedar County to the sum of $36,559.98 and matched with Federal funds for 18 months.

Office of Old Age Assistance was established at the courthouse, with director Miss Anna Olson, assisted by Miss Dorothy Lammers.

Last week County Treasurer Louis G. Riibe, Deputy County Clerk Dwyer and County Director Miss Anna Olson attended instruction in Lincoln to receive complete instructions
