HARTINGTON — The Hartington-Newcastle Speech team brought home varsity runner-up honors and the junior varsity championship at the HNS/CCHS Invite in Hartington last Saturday.
The Battle Creek varsity claimed the team title, while Wayne finished behind HNS in third place.
The Wildcats tallied 24 medalists, with half of the varsity and JV finalists finishing with a topthree placing.
“We took a good step forward on Saturday,” coach Kyle Stevens said. “It will be good to get more work in over the coming weeks to see how we can continue to grow.”
