Cedar speech team earns medals

HARTINGTON — Several Cedar Catholic High School speech competitors earned medals at Saturday’s speech meet here.

Cedar Catholic’s Sophia Kleinschmit claimed top honors in JV Persuasive Speaking. Teammate Kendra Schmit finished sixth in that event.

In JV Oral Interpretation, Cecilia Zimmerman claimed third place.

Ava Stewart finished in sixth place in Varsity Informative Speaking.

Cedar Catholic’s Varsity Oral Interpretation of Drama team of Adelyn Reifenrath, Calley Stewart, Kendra Schmit, Landry Heimes, and Sophia Kleinschmit earned fourth place.

Landon Rutar of Cedar Catholic earned top honors in the Varsity Oral Interpretation of Humorous Prose competition.

In Varsity Oral Interpretation of Serious Prose, Langston Christensen earned a sixth place medal for Cedar Catholic.

Breah Steffen claimed fourth place in Persuasive Speaking competition.
