PLAINVIEW - The Hartington-Newcastle wrestling team grappled at the Plainview Boys Wrestling Invitational on Jan. 31 and placed sixth in the team scoring with 80.5 points.
Cedar Catholic won the team title with 197 points, Plainview was second with 182.5, East Butler was third with 164.5 and Randolph was fourth with 97.5 The Wildcats parlayed a second, a couple of thirds, a fifth and a sixth into 80.5 points for the day.
Kyptin Collier was second at 215 pounds after going 3-1 in the tournament.
Grady Lammers at 126 and Ty Opfer at 157 both went 4-1 on their way to the third-place hardware.
Cris Kneifl at 175 was fifth and Logan Kneifl at 132 was sixth.
Hartington-Newcastle is scheduled to go to Leigh Feb. 6 for the Clarkson/ Leigh Invitational.
