PLAINVIEW — Plainview won the team title at the Greater Northeast Activities Conference boys wrestling tournament Jan. 22.
The Pirates finished with 198.5 points. West Holt placed second with 142, while Neligh-Oakdale was third with 113. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge finished seventh with 42 points.
Jake Lipp turned in the top performance for the Bears, placing second at 190 pounds after pinning his first opponent of the day. Alex Allison earned a third-place finish at 165 pounds, and Paul Allison placed third at 175. Devyn Staples finished fourth at 285. Owen Johnson also competed for LCC at 106 pounds.
The Bears travel to Randolph for a dual meet Jan. 29 before returning to Plainview for an invitational Jan. 31.
