RANDOLPH — Carol Neubauer placed high in the Betty Crocker Homemaker of Tomorrow test given St. Frances senior girls. She will be entered in competition to name the Nebraska candidate for All-American Homemaker of Tomorrow and will also be considered for a runner-up from the state.

RANDOLPH — A pork-lift promotion held in Randolph on Saturday was sponsored by the Community Club and Randolph businesses. A total of 407 persons registered from Sholes, Winside, Carroll, Belden, Hartington, Coleridge, Plainview, Fremont and Randolph. Randolph merchants featured many attractive meat specials and also gave away pork products on special features with orders. Mrs. Ervin Meier of Randolph won the 175-pound pig donated by Wm. Munter.

RANDOLPH — Robert Schenck, Dallas Phillips and Henry Strathman attended the Elks Club dinner at Norfolk Friday evening honoring Pete Elliott, University of Nebraska’s new football coach. Bill Orwig, athletic director was also present. Films of Nebraska’s games were shown.

RANDOLPH — Mrs. Clarence Schutt and two children of South Bend, Ind. left Sunday by plane for their home after spending two weeks here at the Clark Blizzard and Mrs. Edna Schutt homes.

RANDOLPH — The St. Frances Blue Jays plucked the Cedar County Championship Friday night when they defeated the Randolph High Cards 76 to 67 in the all-Randolph finals of the tournament played at Coleridge. The game matched the same two teams in the finals as one year ago, when Randolph High took a 55 to 46 decision. Dennis Gubbels and Earl Leiting of St. Frances, and Gene Van Auker and Randy Beltz of Randolph High, were named to the Cedar County All-tournament team.

RANDOLPH — Merle Rudebusch was awarded a Master of Education degree in School administration from the University of Nebraska on Saturday. He is the son of Jon Rudebusch of Norfolk, formerly of Randolph. Rudebusch teaches at Lincoln High School in Lincoln.

RANDOLPH — The Randolph Creamery has produced 1,875,904 pounds of butter during the year of 1970 and compared to 1,622,142 pounds.
The Creamery, owned by Mr. and Mrs. H.H. Sherwood, employs five full-time man and one part-time man, plus one full-time woman and one part-time woman in the office. They pick up cream from 47 towns in Nebraska and South Dakota.
