RANDOLPH — The Bloomfield Queen Bees came into Randolph on Jan. 20 with an unblemished record and lofty rankings across the state, and by the end of the night the Randolph Lady Cardinals were believers.
Bloomfield raced to a 32-7 lead after the opening quarter and never looked back in a 66-16 win over the Lady Cards, improving to 15-0 on the season while Randolph fell to 1-13.
Bloomfield stretched its first-quarter advantage by 11 points at halftime and added another 13 by the end of the third quarter.
Braylee Kelley, Abbey Backer and Delayne Thelen each scored four points for Randolph. Lilly Kuchta added three and Aniston Schmidt finished with one point.
Kuchta, Backer and Thelen each grabbed five rebounds. Backer dished out two assists, while Kuchta and Schmidt each recorded two steals.
A game scheduled for Jan. 23 against Winnebago was canceled. The Lady Cardinals were set to play at Wynot on Jan. 27 before entering Lewis & Clark Conference Tournament play on Jan. 31.
