PLAINVIEW - The Laurel-Concord- Coleridge Lady Bear wrestling team competed in the Plainview Girls Invitational Jan. 17.
Team results were not available at press time.
Two Lady Bear wrestlers placed in the invitational led by Tae Settje who placed fourth at 115 pounds.
Settje was pinned in the first round, but righted the ship with a pin of her own in the first round of consolation wrestlebacks then went on to two more falls to arrive at the consolation finals.
Settje was leading in the second period 4-3 when she was put on her back by CheyAnne Wurdinger of Stanton to grab fourth.
Grace Galvin placed fifth for LCC after going 2-2 on the day with both wins coming by pins.
Darly Garcia-Perez (155) and Justice Olson (130) also competed for the Lady Bears.
LCC was scheduled to wrestle in the Battle Creek Girls Invitational Jan. 19 and will head back to Plainview Jan. 22 for the conference tournament.
