ATKINSON — The Randolph Cardinal boys wrestling team wrestled at the West Holt Invitational Jan. 16 and posted a team score of 75.5 points which was good enough for seventh in the 14-team tournament.
Plainview won the meet with 164.5 points while Ravenna was second with 154 and Burke/ Gregory out of South Dakota was third with 148.5.
The Cards used a first, a second, a third and a fourth individually to compile their team points.
Bentley Reimers kept rolling at 113 pounds and brought home another gold medal. Reimers used a couple of pins, a major decision and a decision to reach the top of the podium.
Tate Brodersen reached the finals at 150 by a technical fall in his first match and a pin in the semifinals before falling to Wyatt Beck of Burke-Gregory in the finals by a pin late in the match.
Cole Jensen was beaten in his second match of the day by the eventual champion at 138 pounds then used two pins in his final two matches to place third.
Josh Miller placed fourth at 157 going 2-2 in the tournament.
Talyn Meyer at 126 pounds won his opening bout then was injured, which made him medical forfeit two matches.
Randolph will return to action Jan. 22 at the Lewis & Clark Conference Duals to be held in Homer then head to Oakland Jan. 24 for the Oakland-Craig Invitational.
