Sept. 19: Laurel Fire Department issues burn permit to Shirley Fredricksen.

Driver calls to say he was driving north on Highway 81 when he was rear-ended.

Laurel woman calls to inform law enforcement that her neighbor is violating a protection order.

Man who is camping at Cottonwood campsite called to make law enforcement aware of a possible issue. “Another camper was trying to park his camper and I accidentally shined my flashlight in his face and he got all pissed off about it and said he was going to turn me in.”

Accident reported on Hwy. 81 north of the Hwy. 12 intersection. Croft0n EMT called to say she stumbled upon a Highway 81 accident. No one appears to be injured, she said.

Sept. 20: Hartington Fire Department issues burn permit for Matt Kathol.

Randolph Fire Department issues burn permit for Dan Bach.

Randolph woman calls for her elderly mother who is “cold to the touch and clammy.”

Laurel ambulance paged out for woman who is weak and dehydrated.

Hartington store manager calls asking for an ambulance for a man that was riding his bike outside their store. He fell off the bike. “He was knocked out and is bleeding from his head.”

Head on collision is reported on Highway 84 near the Chevrolet dealership.

Woman called for an ambulance for her mom who fell is on the ground outside. She is not able to get up. The call was later canceled. A relative is taking her to the emergency room.

A 911 call came in, but was abandoned. Dispatcher called back to make sure everything was OK. Woman calls to say she is trying to get some of her property back from a place she used to live with a boyfriend. He said he burned everything, she is wondering what she can do about it. She was advised she might want to contact an attorney.

Sept. 21: Caller says they haven’t heard from a relative in about two weeks, so they decided to check on them. They think he is deceased.

Woman called to report that her son lost his wallet in Hartington and was wondering if anyone turned it into the Sheriff’s office.

Hartington ambulance paged out for woman who is vomiting and needs medical attention.

Sept. 22: Coleridge woman calls to report she is with a drunk girl that continues to hit people and yell at them. She is headed to bed, so everything should be fine, now she told the dispatcher.

Man calls to get a copy of an accident report from an accident he was in two days earlier. Convenience store calls for an ambulance for a woman who fainted.

Corps of Engineers calls to make sheriff’s department aware that they will be spraying weeds on Missouri River islands with a helicopter.

Woman calls to get assistance for her cat who is choking. Dispatcher informs her they don’t have an animal control unit.

Hartington caller asked for an ambulance for woman who is experiencing shortness of breath.

Man reports a house fire near Randolph. He is informed a burn permit was issued and Randolph Fire Department is on the scene. Man calls to ask if he can get his fingerprints done at the Sheriff’s office. He is told to come in anytime Monday through from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Man called to say they will be moving a house and asked if Sheriff’s Department would be able to assist with traffic control.

Woman calls from the Nebraska Abuse and Neglect hot line to report a case of abuse. She said a man hit his child over the weekend, and it left a mark on his forehead.

911 call comes in. Reporting party said, “I don’t know what happened. My phone was in my pocket and it called 911.”

Fordyce Fire Department calls to advice dispatch they are conducting a controlled burn at the village dump.

Sept. 23: Man calls to report he killed a raccoon near his rural Menominee home. He wondered if there is a test that can be done to see if it had rabies.

Deputy calls in to inquire about a stolen 18-foot flatbed trailer.

Man wants to get a vehicle inspected so he can get it licensed. He is concerned that he can’t find the VIN number.

Fordyce Fire Department issues a burn permit to Mason Buschelman.

Caller reports a semi truck driving on the shoulder of Highway 81. The truck just has tail lights no headlights.

Hartington woman to calls to report she was walking her dog when another dog attacked them. Caller was said she was bit “all the way through my finger. I want to know if that dog is up to date on its shots.”

Man calls to say his daughter was driving and “she is pretty sure she hit the police unit parked on the street.”

Sept. 24: Man calls to report their are about 20 calls out on the road near Belden.

Man calls to inform sheriff’s department that he will be in Randolph today to repossess a car.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Department called to say they just dropped a woman off at the Randolph city park. She is listed as a West Coast missing person and she is traveling to the East Coast. She has camping gear and wants to camp at the city park for the night.

Sept. 25: Randolph resident calls for an ambulance for a woman who has not felt well for several days.

Yankton Police Department calls to report a truck driver turned in a wallet from a Cedar County woman. Woman is contacted and she says she lost the wallet about two months ago.

Randolph clinic calls for an ambulance for a man with severe abdominal pain.

Man calls to report he has a small field fire and is unable to put it out. Wynot Fire Department is paged out.

Sept. 26: Woman calls to report two semi trucks collided near the Highway 59, Highway 81 intersection, One truck is in the ditch. It dozen;t appear that an ambulance is needed.

Caller asks for a welfare check on a coworker that has “been acting off all shift. He was rambling and screaming about God. He just left here screaming down the highway. I just want to make sure he is OK and his family is OK.

Sept. 27: Yankton dispatch calls to let Cedar County law enforcement know they have a call about a suicidal woman at the dam. Medical alert alarm goes off for Hartington woman who fell. Hartington ambulance is dispatched.

Man reports he was bit by a dog while he was walking on the trails near the Missouri River.
