WINSIDE - The Randolph Lady Cardinal wrestling team traveled to Winside Jan. 10 for the Winside Invitational Wrestling Tournament where the Lady Cards placed 11th out of the 26-team tourney.
Tekamah-Herman won the team title with 132 points, Plainview was second with 123.5 and Pierce took third with 113.5 points.
The Lady Redbirds posted 40.5 points. Gracie Wortman placed second at 135 pounds after pinning her way to the finals before falling to Pyper Daugherty by pin.
Wortman pinned Kelsey Luebbe of Centennial in 31 seconds in the opening round then stuck Lainey Jensen of Pierce in 2:15 before the loss.
Maddy Aulner placed fourth at 170 pounds. She went 1-3 on the day which put her in fourth after winning her opening match by fall over Isabel Larson of Lyons-Decatur Northeast.
Mabel Ngebeh went 1-2 in the tournament with a pin over Adonai Salazar of LDNE by fall at the 1:49 mark of the opening period.
Randolph was set to compete in the Summerland Invitational on May 12 before wrestling in a dual with Cedar Catholic Jan. 15 in Hartington.
