Sept. 12: Man reports he found a yellow lab running loose near Highway 81 near the Pierce county line.

Man would like to see a speed limit sign set up near Randolph. He was given number of who he should talk to about it.

Hartington man called, He went on vacation but forgot his drivers’license. He wants to know if Sheriff s Department can vouch for him. He was told he should contact Neb, Department of Motor Vehicles to see if they can assist.

Wynot woman calls for an ambulance for a man that fell and may have broken a leg.

Hartington Fire Department issues a burn permit for Paul Goeden.

Aug. 13: Laurel Fire Dept. Issues burn permit to Jon Graham.

Caller reports seeing a Chevy Malibu weaving back and forth on Hwy. 84.

Man reports he slid into the ditch on the Sholes road and rolled his vehicle.

Sept. 14: Laurel woman calls asking for an officer to help break up a fight between her husband and her son.

Belden man calls with concerns about a neighbor that has several cats who are using his yard as a bathroom. ‘You can just smell it all over the place. It’s becoming a health hazard. Every time they open the windows you can smell it.”

Caller reports a black lab is running loose along Highway 57 south of Hartington.

Sept. 15: A woman calls to report a case of animal cruelty in Magnet.

Caller reports a man hit a deer near Laurel.

Caller concerned about marijuana plants growing near his property.

Caller accidentally makes a 911 call.

Sept. 16: Caller reports cows out on Highway 81.

Crofton Fire Department issues a bum permit for Kevin Heine.

Hartington Fire Dept, issues burn permit to Don Kathol.

Man calls asking to use the sheriffs office to exchange funds with someone he owes money. He is very suspicious of this person and wants to make sure the transaction is done in a public place. He is told they can meet at a bank, or in the lobby outside the sheriffs office.

Creighton Police Department calls for assistance. “I have a looney toon calling over here all the time.”

Sept. 17:

Hartington Fire Department issues burn permit for Dale Becker.

Hartington Fire Department issues burn permit for Candy McCoy.

Feed lot near St. Helena calls. A man fell and is now laying on a conveyor that leads up to a grain bin. He is injured and trapped. Wynot mutual aid also called.

Man calls to report he stole money from his grandmother. Dispatcher said he will get an officer to talk with him.

Man calls to see if Sheriffs office had a drivers Manuel. He has a relative that needs to take a driving test.

Man calls to say his wife goes out running on the Road. He is concerned a man is intentionally trying to scare or injure her with his truck. He has been a problem for the people in Fordyce for quite awhile. Woman calls in, too. Says the driver hugs the white line and intentionally does not give her any room.

Sept. 18: Woman calls to say man she has a protection order against is walking his dog on her property.

Laurel man calls concerned a neighbor is disturbing the peace.

Coleridge Fire Department issues a burn permit for Loren Paulsen.

Yankton hospital calls to report a Cedar County woman was bit by a cat.

Man calls with concerns about a boat on a trailer that seems to have been abandoned.

A controlled burn near Menominee was questioned. Area fire departments can’t find any record of a permit being granted.

Sheriffs office is aksed to help out with a neighbor’s dispute in Laurel.

Woman calls to ask what should be done. She received a letter from the Omaha Police Department about a vehicle they owned two years ago. She was advised to call Omaha.

Sept. 19: Hartington man calls to report a neighbor has passed out in her yard. She appeared to be drunk. Another call comes in with the same concerns. Woman calls in to report someone just slashed her tires. She believes its the same person that was recently passed out in her yard.
